December 31, 2010

Samuel had been crawling FAST... everywhere. He pulls himself up, he plops himself down. Surprisingly he still loves the jolly jumper. He can ride the horse that Bumpa made. Ben and mama were playing with the camera yesterday. The boys are (yes) always in their underwear if they can. Since it is New Year's Eve tonight, we had a desert of "quiet crackers" compliments of Jacquie and Ben. The three older boys finished the year off with a bath , coloring soap and some Tweety Bird cartoons before bed. We wish everyone a wonderful New Year, especially the Piovosos who are heading to France on Sunday. Safe travels and talk to you soon, the MacNeills

After Christmas

Samuel has really started to move around quickly and he can stand himself up anywhere. You think he is in one room and you turn your head to find him somewhere else... he particularly likes the ball ornaments on the tree.. He can also open our cupboards!! Man that happened fast!!
Boxing Day had a bit of snow so after some bed jumping (yes the boys have been in their new underwear the last few days, not that Tom is even close to being toilet trained!!), they headed outside to make a snowman and a fort with mama. This is a picture of Tom jumping on the remains of the snowman/unicorn who only survived a few minutes. Thankfully we have gotten more snow in the last 2 days and it is starting to feel more like our regular winter. Inside Matthew has been working with his "magic potions" that he got from santa. Today he got to play with the coloured jelly crystals that he grew and he made some instant snow. Ben loves to watch him. Thomas keeps getting his guitar out so we have been dancing and singing to music each day. Papa got to play lego games with the older boys on Monday before he started his night shift. Matthew also spent quite some time face painting (and body painting) himself and his 2 brothers!! After 3 days at home, the kids are asking to go outside in the stormy weather... even Ben!! They came back in as it got dark by 5 pm today. Friends are invited over for most of the next days so that should be alot of fun. Hope everyone is making the best of the weather. Christmas Day

Matthew got to try out his helicopter and we had an entire team working on various LEGO projects !! Auntie Pam and Auntie Heather and the families had a yummy supper and afternoon together. Thomas went to climb on the desk to get a kleenex for someone. The guitar was tried by Ben but really Thomas kept it pretty much in his arms. Sam is simply cute and I find it hard to limit how many pictures I put up of him!! Matthew manages to wiggle into the picture of all of the "girls" with Gramma. Darcy and Kyle pose with Gramma. Thank you everyone for a nice day. Dale and Gramma stayed another night, it was alot of fun!! The MacNeills.

Christmas Morning... yes Santa came!!

The boys slept until 715am...just goes to show how tired they were!! We soon were opening Santa's stockings and his gift to each boy!! Ben wanted a Crystal Sweeper, Matt a potions kit, Tom a guitar and Sam a helicopter. Thomas would not take off his guitar to open the rest of his stocking... the fact that he got a "Pick" was almost as good as getting a guitar!! Ben helped open the rest of Sam's gifts from last night since he had fallen asleep early. Now we are looking forward to a big dinner with the family. Merry Christmas everybody!!! The MacNeills

Christmas Eve is here!!

We could barely wait for Gramma and Dale to come and join us in this year's Christmas Eve celebrations!! The boys started with their favorite meal of kraft dinner, hotdogs and chicken nuggets. We then "made" the kids sing and after the "Happy Birthday to Jesus" song, we were ready for the gift wrapping evening!! Ben opened his crane from Gramma and Dale... he did not stop smiling for the rest of the night!!! Matthew got a helicopter... and soon Papa got the same one!! (Gramma and Mama have good taste!!) We then helped the boys open more gifts... Sam could not stay awake for the entire time... Matt and Ben got the beaver decorations and all sorts of really cool stuff so thank you everyone for thinking of the boys!!! When we finally got the boys to bed, they were exhausted and fell asleep quite quickly after Gramma ready the "Night before Christmas". We then sat down for our big fondu ... the lobster trap is a wine rack/liquor cabinet!!! Pretty cool, thank you!! We finally fell asleep waiting for santa...
