Halloween!!!

These first few pictures were taken yesterday as Matthew painted our faces several times over. Poor Samuel, he was wondering what was going on. Perhaps papa gave him his first sip of beer to help him understand this Halloween dress up thing!! We had our friends over for pizza... before we headed out in the daylight hours (kids could not wait and there is school tomorrow!!) for our 45 minute walk/talk as the kids filled their bags in only 8 houses!! Ben could not wait to get home and start eating!!! They get to eat whatever they want for the 20 minute movie... and then it was over. In Kensington there is an 8 pm curfew so I know I can pack everything away until next year!!! Happy Halloween, it was fun!! The MacNeills

It was the Day before Halloween...

We got to go for a 5km walk/run in Kensington. Matt walked the whole way!!! Batman was tired!! We then decided we had better decorate our pumpkins. (These were grown behind the shed!!!) Ben got his hands dirty and Matt carved alot of his on his own!! He added the "scars" afterwards. Thomas kept changing the faces on his and we made one for Samuel. Sam enjoyed his bananas and the green beans..who would have thought!?! Matt and Ben made a "Museum" where Matthew collected tickets that they made and Ben was the worker who explained the exhibit. (About the history of different time periods.) We then ate a bunch of pumpkin seeds... and we all liked them. Now we are face painting and practicing up for tomorrow's treat or treating!! How come Sam missed the cupcakes???

Poor Samuel, he doesn't yet know what he is missing!!! In truth , Thomas does not care for sweets as much as his brothers!! He only licked a bit of the chocolate frosting and then proceeded to eat a bunch of grapes.... whose child is that anyways???? Matthew and Benjamin must be getting older as most of the cupcake actually ends up in the mouth!!! Samuel got to go swimming with Jacquie while mama was at work today. He likes the pool and seemed to enjoy the lights on the ceiling!! He is also eating peas (one at a time... I forgot how long a meal can take at this age) and small pieces of almost anything. He really is growing up so fast!!! The MacNeills

Cottage and Party!!

We got to visit with Gramma up at the cottage this weekend for a yummy supper!! It was great to see Nanny too!!! Today Thomas (again dressed as a blue baby... his choice of course) and Samuel the monkey got to enjoy a play group filled with all sorts of amazing treats!! The kids had great costumes on and I am wondering why I did not take a group picture!!! The MacNeills... only 4 more sleeps!!!

First Halloween Party!!

Samuel loves his rocking horse!! Only in PEI do they pull motor homes with an old farm tractor!!! (Not ours though) We went to our friend's house in Charlottetown for a Halloween potluck. Thomas dressed up in his "blue" PJs , took a bottle with him (and this kid has not even asked for a bottle since he was a bit over a year old) and a cape so he could be a baby knight!! Samuel is a pirate and Ben is a tiger. Matt is batman for tonight but I think he is planning to change his costume on Halloween night!! Ben said he might even let us paint his face on the 31st!!! The picture with the kids , only included half the kids that came... it was fun so thank you Jill and Trevor for the good time. Trevor was the big pirate holding the baby pirate!!! Tom eventually borrowed Aiden's clown feet and nose... by the end of the evening, most kids had traded parts of their costumes. Hope this Halloween week is full of fun and the odd trick as well as treat!!! The MacNeills

Malcolm Stanley's Pottery Studio

Malcolm Stanley invited the Beavers to his studio in Breadalbane!! It was fabulous as they watched and learned how pottery is made. They got to get their hands dirty and they made their own owls!! Scary masks!!

Matthew and Benjamin wanted to decorate for Halloween ... and hence they created a "scene" on the couch and Matt made two scary masks !!! We decided it was a great opportunity for a quick family picture!!! The MacNeills

Starting to think about Halloween!!

The boys had a couple of professional days so they got to stay home and hang out with Jacquie!!! She made yummy Halloween cupcakes with the older two boys!! Samuel is growing up so fast lately... he wiggles around and you never know exactly where he will end up!! Ben was playing with Sam as he loves to play ball. The pile of toys is the "loot" from the robbers who spent the morning gathering it and piling it in their fortress behind the chair!! By the way, Benjamin got the scratches on his cheek after playing with Matt in the "woods" at the park...they were Leprechauns!! I managed to take the 4 to the grocery store this morning so we are all pretty tired now...never a dull moment here!! The MacNeills
