Last week of snow and first time skating..

This is the first time that the full MacNeill Family has managed to go skating at the same time!!! Matthew and Benjamin went last year with playschool but have not been on the ice in a year. Thomas was on skates for the first time in his life and he managed a couple of steps on his own... before her took his "breaks laying down" on the ice. They all had fun, even mama and papa. We were told we need to do this more often. We then visited Gramma and Dale for a yummy supper. Thank you again. (By the way, the picture of Sam and Tom at the sink is the first of many that ended up in both boys being soaked and pretty well naked!! More pictures to come in next post.)
This past week included a storm day where surprisingly Ben was the one who wanted to play outside by himself, in the middle of the storm. (See picture on slide) This was after a morning in the shed (see boys playing on tractor). Samuel has a runny nose (obviously ) again!!! He still smiles despite this!! Thomas is simply a lot of fun. He is showing his two bandaids on his fingers that he got for doing his big jobs on the toilet!! I think he has finally figured out how to use his big boy underwear!!! Horray!! Matt and Ben enjoyed yet another storm day!! Lucky for them!! Hope everyone is having a fun time with all this great snow!! The MacNeills

Weekend with Papa and Fadi's Party

So the morning started off with some interesting dressing up by the three older boys. Fireman Thomas with caped Ben (then turned tiger) and ... well I am not really sure what Matt was in these pictures but it was pretty fun. We then got to help celebrate our friend's 2nd Birthday. The Petting Zoo was fun and mama also loved to hold the snake... always wanted one. Even Sam was interested in the animals. (He loved the balloons despite two of them popping on him... which did make him cry). (We got to touch the lizards, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchilla, ferret, snake, skinny pig, hedgehog etc) Micheal Pendergast performed for the kids, the music man is also a ton of fun. Thank you again for the amazing cake, entertainment and food. Happy Birthday Fadi!! The MacNeills

Sam took his first steps!!

This blog is dedicated to Sam who took his first few steps with papa yesterday. He is also modeling his new boots... diggers that fit over his Robeez so it is easier for him to walk in the snow... We decided to test it out in the house and Sam could move around just fine. Papa and the other boys like to read in the evening and Sam and mama get a chance to play (mama takes alot of pictures.. including the cute one of him scratching his bottom!! He loves to look out the patio door at Jasper!!) Thomas likes to throw things.. instead of passing them to mama. We continue to work on this.

Winter Beaver Camp

First of all, the boys were dressing up as superheroes..again. I love it. Sam even got a cape!! By the way, Thomas has been really good at the potty... even got his 2 poops in the toilet today!! This is really big news!! When Gramma and Dale showed up to watch the two little ones, Matt, Ben and myself headed out for our overnight Beavers camp at Riverdale. We loved the space and the perfect weather. We got to play outside most of the afternoon with spray painting the snow, arrows and dart games. We were sledding and hiking. We found both a "lean too" and an "igloo". We then managed a few indoor activities including supper before we headed back out for smores and a campfire. Soon we were back inside for games of "Headbanz" and a "freeze dance". These boys went non stop!! It was fun. A few stories later, we all climbed into our bunks and settled in for the night. By 6 am most of the boys were up so we played lego, made popcorn/peanut lines to hang in the trees for the animals and managed a scavenger hunt. Ben and Matt loved the bow and arrows. The sledding was great and then it was time to head home again!! What a cool first camping weekend. The last picture is of Rainbow and Bubbles... the leaders were ready for a rest!! Thanks alot to everyone for the really fun weekend!! The MacNeills
