Our Shed Party Weekend and Father's Day!!

We really did have a great weekend with the Smillards coming to visit. We have not played with our friends in way too long and what a fun weekend we had. We stayed around the house and the 6 (sometimes 8) kids played in the house, dressed up, played in the shed in the bouncy room and with the instruments ..... Everyone played hard and even Callie Mae joined us while her dad helped us set up for the shed party. The kids are "bird watching" on the deck in case you are wondering.

The Shed Party's opening band "Full Circle" were great and a DJ allowed for a lot of dancing and great music. Thank you to all of our friends and family who came and we did raise $465 for the Relay For Life 2012 . Thank you so much for all of the support. It was a really fun night and special thanks to Dennis who got us the bumper pool table, the shuffle board table and who supports us so much with this party without ever being asked. We really do have amazing neighbors!!
Father's Day happens to fall on the Sunday after the Shed Party, so when we finally had papa and Neil awake, we got to have a yummy breakfast of pancakes and bacon. We even got to share Claire's Cake at lunch. It was delicious. Thank you for visiting us this weekend and for all the fun and help. Papa and the entire family also met up with the Pendletons for a Father's Day Supper out at the Kensington Pub. Yummy!! Happy Father's Day Dad, and all dads!! The MacNeills

Some Family Pictures... Yes it is STILL Cold Here!!

We have been dressing up even more often than usual..probably because it keeps the kids warm in this very cool spring. Ben had demontrated "tree" for us so I had to take a picture!! Now, the picture with all of the boys in their underwear was a result of a day where it reached 15 degrees!!! Will summer ever come???

Sam makes a pretty cool spiderman and Tom has been dressed in one of 3 batman costumes (thank goodness for all the inherited costumes) for the past 2 weeks in a row. The Superheros might find it tough when they are not brought to Germany!!! We shall see. Have a good day, The MacNeills

Open House at the Fire Station in Kensington

Only in Kensington do they do a fun open house day where the kids can climb all over the fire vehicles, try to spray down a target with the fire hose, and get free hotdogs, fries, drink and you guessed it...streamed mussels!!! Thomas is telling everyone that he got to drive the fire truck. He is likely one of few 3 year olds who can adjust the hydraulic driver's seat up and down faster than it should be. Mama and Sam went with the stroller while the 3 boys rode their bikes to the station and then had a fun time!! Thank you so much for putting this on each year!!

All Smiles and Big Yellow Boots

I think we are all healthy now. Sam loves to wear his yellow boots. Matthew is helping him climb over all sorts of things.
Tonight we had yummy ribs for supper and Sam ate 6!!! I think he is making up for lost time!! Thomas needs to be convinced to smile. He much prefers to make funny faces. I did manage to get this one after many attempts!! The MacNeills

Sam was Sick and this is the first day that He's Back!!!

As you can see, Sam was so sick that if you put him in the jolly jumper, he just collapsed and stood there. (However he did manage to wear his yellow boots!) It was hard to watch. Thankfully he is eating again and moving faster and even kind of enjoyed a morning at the park with his brother. Thomas wore his sponge bob PJs and rode his bike to the park. Hope everyone is well. A Beaver Jamboree!!

Sam likes to wear his papa's shoes!

We also finally had a bar B Q with our old neighbours, the Younkers. It was so fun to see them again.

Matthew and Benjamin got to join Bubbles, Rainbow, Zach and Sam for an international beaver activity Day in New Brunswick (Kingston Peninsula). The black flies did not dampen the kid's spirits as they played games, made crafts and met other beavers from different colonies. Thank you to the organizers for a fun day. ALso a big thank you to Zach and Sam's Nanna and Poppa who invited us to stay overnight before the fun day. The boys got to see real beaver dams, dance and play music and have some fun before the beaver activities even started. Thank you !! The macNeills.
