christmas concert and snow storms

We had a pretty big snow storm that wiped out our power for 12 hours last week tuesday. We were lucky as alot of PEI went without power for up to 6 or 7 days. Ben could not understand why I would not put on his favorite music (Wiggles). We had a pyjama day. Matt is ensuring that Ben is driving the trains properly on the GeoTrax that they still play with... Ben mostly. We then headed outside with papa on wednesday to check out how much snow we got. Ben is a bit scared of the white stuff but Matt can't be outside enough. We then had Ben and Matt's Christmas concert last saturday. Matt was too "tired" to actually sing so he stood on stage while the others sang the songs. Ben played more than anything. Both enjoyed yet another visit from santa and Matt made sure that santa knew he wanted a horn with a "baby chick" on top... wish poor santa luck with that one!!! FanHsia was visiting for 3 weeks and she sat on the piano with Ben and Matt (and got Ben to sing twinkle little star with her) after the concert. We will have to invite her back to play during the concert next year!!! We also just got our Christmas tree so now that the ice and snow have melted on our living room floor, we are almost ready to decorate. Hope everyone is having a fun time leading up to Chrismtas. So Matt begins the day as the KIng-Spiderman-superhero... too bad we missed the photo of his special funny face!!! Then we had Megan (matt's cousin) over who played with all the kids at the christmas party until santa arrived with presents for everyone and of course some candy canes. We then made our way outside with snowsuits (finally got a bit of snow this weekend) for the Kensington Santa Parade. It was a full and fun day!!!

We had a great 4th Birthday party for Matt. He made his own crown as he wants to be a king and then we had fun playing games with papa and his friends. We had his favorite "cheese noodles and hotdogs" folllowed by a helicopter cake that papa cut out and iced!!! Ben was a bit sick (thanks again to Yves and Karen for helping me clean poor Ben up as the other kids played games. Matt got lots of phone calls from everyone and he wants to say thanks for all the birthday wishes and presents that he received. We still hope to have a birthday supper if Ben feels up to it. Halloween

What a fun and busy last few days. Another fun Halloween party at Lilah's house was then followed by the boys decorating their own pumpkins. On the 31st, mama and Ben were the pumpkins and Matt and his papa were cowboys... all together we went trick or treating with our friends Audeane, Curtis, Zack and Sam. The night ended with alot of junkfood... Ben and Matt were pretty happy.

Lots has been happening as we prepare for Halloween. The first party with our Cowboy Matt and his lasso and his pumpkin brother named Ben. We've been playing in all the leaves that blow in from our neighbours accross the street.. it is so much fun to throw leaves at mama!!! The boys also help their mama out with cleaning the floors and baking cookies... well Matt likes to lick the bowl clean and Ben steals the oven mits.

So this is mama at 20 weeks, only one little boy who is very active. We were in Halifax for our ultrasound and on the drive sown we were enjoying the leaves. What a beautiful fall!!! Ben is wearing his M&M shirt. The boys are well and we are all pretty happy. Happy Halloween, pics of costumes still to come!!! Have a good day!!!

Just got back from our adventure in Toronto. Flew there and picked up our new minivan (that we bought over EBAY ) and drove the 18 hours back to PEI last night. Poor Steve had to work today at 8am while the boys and I slept in til 10am. We had a great feast at Mark aNd Nikis and the kids loved visiting with Micheal and Gillian all weekend. I am getting bigger and bigger, plan to put a picture of that up one day soon, take care, MacNeill family.
