festival time

Would have posted more pics of matt going down the ice slides and the castles and carvings but for some reason the blog site is not working well today. We had a fun day in Charlottetown which included watching Toopy and Binoo (kids show that Ben loves) and then there was a show by spiderman, hulk and storm... matt is rather into superheros of late so he loved it. We then went to the lego town and then to the petting zoo/pony rides and the carnival rides. Even Ben went for a train ride. The weather was perfect and after about 5 and a half hours, we were all beat and headed back to Kensington. Babe is still hanging in there. Take care, the MacNeills

STILL waiting!!!

Still waiting for our third little boy to arrive. Boys seem to go on their own schedule. We had some friends over for supper one night around valentine's day and today was a big LEGO day with Matt and Ben. Matt even filled his house with furniture and put water in the bathtub and a big bed so that if the lego man wanted someone to sleep over, he could. ice storm 2008

As everyone probably knows, PEI had a pretty nasty ice storm last week. We only lost power for 24 hours... better than a lot of PEI. The kids handled it pretty well though Ben thought he was being punished when I could not put on his music or turn on his lights. This is a picture from our side window and the other shows our street. Tons of branches fell and there were several lines on the ground. I added a quick picture of me 35 weeks pregnant. Our friend Guy in ontario took a bunch of great shots of me and my belly, thanks again. All is well here, the count down is now on... we'll keep everyone posted. The macNeills

month of January

January was a cold month with alot of snow. The top picture is actually when mama was about 32 weeks pregnant. Matt is so excited about santa that even in the bathtub he proudly makes his santa beard with bubbles... Ben is usually quick to follow. The boys are starting to play together on the swings and with the trains in the playroom. Ben is still a bit young so we still have to watch pretty closely when they play together!!! The picture with the boys watching their bedtime movie ... look close, papa is underneath the two !!! Yesterday we took the kids to the wellness center and they tried bowling for the first time!!! They even had bowling shoes to fit Ben. It was alot of fun. The dinner that followed was pretty fancy and the kids all had fun at the medical staff family fun day. Here is a picture from today with me reading a story with the boys... all 3 of them!!! I am now 34 weeks and we are counting down the days until our baby arrives.

jan5th and 6th weekend in the snow

What a great weekend we have had. Papa was off this weekend so on saturday we went sledding...twice. Here we went to Kinkora to visit with some friends on their own groomed trails. Mason (aged 3) even let papa and Matt try his snowmobile out!!! After a really fun and exhausting day we woke up early and after church went with Auntie Heather and Megan and Gramma to Mill river to go tubing. As you can see, Matt and Ben (as well as all of us) went on the tubes. They were fast and really fun. Ben even went alone!!! (We were there to catch him at the bottom of course). Gramma then served some yummy lasagna.. what a day. The forecast is for 8 degrees for the next few days, we hope the snow does not all melt away.

Lots of snow!!!!

So it is winter here. Our play ground is more than full of snow as you can see!!! This is a snowy picture of our backyard. We decided to go sledding today and ended up in the parking lot of the highschool here in Kensington... there was enough of a snow pile for us all to have fun. The Younkers joined us and as you can see we all went down the snow pile several times... yee haw!!! We are supposedly going sledding again after nap time... we will see.

christmas and almost NewYear's

The first few pictures show the tree we got from the treefarm... apparently the minivan can get stuck twice in the foot of snow...a tree looks smaller than you think from 100 feet away from the path... and ask steve how heavy it is. He and I did manage to load it on the van and make it home... took 2 hours. Next year buying from the boy scouts down the road may be the best option. Matt and Ben helped decorate and you can see alot of the ornaments were hand made and cut out by Matt himself!!! We then had the pleasure of a concert by Matt and Papa of Jingle Bells and Frosty the "snowy" as ben sings it!!! The next few pictures are of christmas. Matt loved the playmobile manger scene and loved to play "Jesus" with his papa. Ben got a train for the geotrax... he is very much into trains right now. (and cars) Matt got a big horn (all he asked for from santa) Thankfully papa got ear defenders which matt tends to wear when playing his loud horn!!! Matt got his papa's old legos and a few sets that he loves. The lego table was made by bumpa (matt's grampa whom he has never met) and his papa (steve took the tray and turned it into this blue table) Matt plays for hours each day in his room with his legos. We also had some MacNeill family over for Christmas dinner. Today (dec 30th) we are having quite a bit of snow again... Ben was very shy at first but soon wanted to "swish" down the hill like his brother Matt!!! We then got a visit from the Pendletons which was great fun.
