More Christmas fun..first snow!!!

We finally got some snow!!! The kids were running around the house yelling "It snowed" at 7 am yesterday morning...mama and papa were not quite awake but the excitement was quite something!! Matt and Ben went sliding with papa on "dragon mountain" behind our house. Thomas was sleeping at the time and so when he did wake up, mama was making seafood chowder for a potluck at our house before the kensington santa parade at 5pm. I gave Thomas some snow to hold in the house and he ate/sucked on it... 5 handfulls later he still wanted more. I don't think he remembers snow from last year. SHould be a fun winter. The MacNeills

Getting ready for Christmas

The boys have been pretty busy. Matt had his christmas concert last week..he was a soldier, a reindeer and sang with the groups. Of course this was the second visit from Santa!! Thomas loves the music and claps enthusiastically!! Ben and Mama enjoyed the show as well!! Matt had another haircut..this time blue was the color he picked. Ben is batman and Thomas always tries to grab the camera...he loves looking at the pictures that were taken !!! Today we decided we should at least decorate our windows.. Matt drew the 3 kings, a santa and the big star (see santa in a sleigh pulled by a reindeer inside the biggest star!!). Ben decorated the christmas tree that I outlined for him and made a ton of presents for under the tree!! We are having friends over tomorrow before the Kensington santa parade so we wanted to start decorating. By the way, Thomas ate 4 chicken legs in one meal ... i think he likes them!! Ben's Christmas concert...already!!!

First visit from Santa with many more planned over the next 4 weeks!!! Ben was a great Christmas tree star, raindeer and choral member!! Ben has no trouble on stage and despite being 4, (and one of the older kids) he is certainly not the tallest of them all!!! (Yes mom, my son had sweat pants on while most kids wore ties.... not surprising though is it???) The MacNeills

Matt's Birthday

Officially a six year old, Matt got his blue tail at beavers last night as well!!! We made beaver buggies and had a pretty fun day. We had rice crispy treats at daycare and even more presents to open at home!!! What a full and fun day!! Thanks for all the Happy Birthday wishes and presents!! Take care, The MacNeills

Matt's Birthday party

We celebrated Matt's 6th birthday at the bowling alley in Summerside today with 10 kids!!! (away from home is certainly easier when there are so many kids!!) There are some pretty good bowlers and they actually stuck to it for an hour before the pizza, cake and gifts came out!!! The last pictures are of matt giving out the small lootbag/presents for all the other kids. The cake is a rocket ship (in case you are not sure!!) The MacNeills

As you can see, Thomas loves to colour and will sit at the table with markers and draw on paper for 30 min at a time!!! Who would have thought? He loves books and loves to hide in cupboards!!! The boys love to work in the shed with papa!! They ride their bikes and use the tools. Ben can use a tape measure really well and Matt is practicing on the stilts that papa made for him. Thomas likes the ear defenders. We also got our to play in the leaves the other day. I think that is one of Ben's favorite things to do outside!! Hope everyone is enjoying the fall.
