It has been 7 years since Steve and I took our kayaks out for a paddle!! Was it ever a dream to have them out in the water again.. steve and I each got a paddle in... few minutes only for Steve. Maybe , if we are lucky, we might get one paddle in together before the end of the summer!!! Thank you again to Gramma and auntie Heather for hosting the MacNeills and the Herzogs. Despite the rain, it was a fun weekend. As you can see, lots of paddling between the rain made it wonderful. Thomas LOVES the boats... for a busy kid, he would sit in a boat for hours if we let him!!! The MacNeills manages another visit to Shinning Waters yesterday , the kids love it there. Mama now has to find some strawberries at a U pick for the freezer jam. !!! Take care, The MacNeills
We began our adventure in Halifax to pick up the Herzog Family!!! After a few days at teh "Smillards" we all got into the 2 minivans and made our way to PEI!!! (In a huge rain storm!! Welcome to Canada!!) The weather took a while to warm up but we have managed a fun Canada day, several beach visits (Cabot, Twin shores and ThunderCove). We had a Shed party with a surprise visitor from Edmonton and all 16 people found a place to sleep in our house that weekend!! We recently have been to Shinning Waters where we went on a few rides and managed a bit of time on the water slides. Sam was not too excited about the water but the rest of the boys had fun. Matt and Ben seem to enjoy body painting!! Thankfully it washes off easily!! Also of note, Sam tried his first cereal today as he is now 6 months old!! Time really does fly!!!
