First Storm Day of the School Year

In PEI, we have alot of kids that live in rural areas so when a storm hits, most kids can not get to school, so school is often cancelled. Today was the first of the storm days!! We got about 20 cm of snow and the plow made a huge hill that blocked our cars in !! I love to shovel , so since I could not make it out for my hospital meeting and Steve was still coming off his night shift, Matt, Ben and I worked and played outside. (Jacquie was inside watching the 2 little ones!!) Ben was helping me clear the foot of snow off of the car and both were loving the huge snow piles!! The big boys were out twice today, the picture of the three older ones was taken this afternoon , as the red cheeked boys came in for supper!!! Sam is a pretty good baby who plays by himself but loves to read books and get attention too!! Papa is seen as the "monster" who is attacking all the little boys!! I have a video of this... if anyone wants to get a real taste for what "bewitching hour before supper time" is really like in a house with so many boys!!! Ask me and I will show you!!! Take care, The MacNeills

Samuel is baptized !!

The boys were so nicely dressed for church today to watch Sam's baptism into our church. (They requested that they wear their nice clothes!!! Imagine that!) Sam took his first ride in a big boy car seat. He enjoyed looking out of the window. Sam loved eating his own baptism brochure during the service! Meaghan and George are his Godparents and along with our family and friends we managed to have a fun day. I think Sam enjoyed all of the attention. Thank you for supporting Sam. Reverend Ned and Reverend Karen were wonderful as they poured water on Sam's head... he did not cry. He was pretty interested in the water really.
Thomas loved the "chip rings Auntie Pam placed on all of his fingers. Auntie Heather watched Sam eat up his cake!! (Which is in the shape of a baby Mum Mum...a plain rice cake that Sam loves to eat. This is what Ben and Matt suggested.) Most of his cousins were at our house too. It was great fun so thank you for the well wishes and the gifts!!! Love Sam and the MacNeill Family (PS Sam is "sooo gross/big"!!!)

Samuel turns 1!!

It is hard to believe that our big boy has turned 1. He stands, he crawls and he is a wonderful baby!! He enjoyed the hamburger soup for lunch followed by a pumpkin cupcake with cream cheese icing!! He ate the whole thing. I could not believe it!! Way to go little guy, we love you!!! We have no idea why he always sticks out his tongue... I think he likes the feel of his teeth?? The macNeills

January brings a lot of Snow!!!

So we finally have decent snow for reinforcing our fort... Tom, Matt, Ben and I had a fun time working on it on New Year's Day. Sam is really standing and bounces to music.. not too keen on walking yet.. thank goodness!! The boys are still wearing alot of capes and often only their underwear!! Thomas is finally using a potty... almost consistently for everything except at night. I did not expect it would go so well after my last 2 adventures with potty training!! Horray!! Gramma and Dale stopped by to read bedtime stories to the kids last night. Always a welcome visit!! Today we got alot of snow so as I was shoveling, I got attacked by Matt and Ben (and Papa) !! Papa and I then rebelled and buried the boys in the snow... papa even "patted it down". They really were stuck for awhile. The "superheroes worked together " (and a little help from the bad guys) to get out from the "freeze's" prison!!! What a fun and beautiful snowy day!!! Hope everyone had fun!! The MacNeills.
