Matthew lucked out and got a day off school (parent teacher interviews...in which Matt's teacher is very proud at his efforts and he is really doing well in school!!). He made a gingerbread house for a cake with Jacquie (who thankfully agreed to come over and watch the boys (including chicken pox Tom) while mama was at work and papa was between nights). They even got to play in the first real snowfall of the season. It is already melting but we did get a thick blanket of white stuff that the boys played in this morning!! Overall a fun day with lots of phone calls and birthday wishes. Matt got his skateboard and rollerblades... he is SO excited. (His bike helmet is in the shed, hence the hockey helmet!!!)
