A day with Tante Doris and Onkel Alois

We went to the coolest place!! This little town is set up as it would be in the 1400s. No nails so everything is wooden pegs and beams are cut with axes. Everyone who lives and works there had to wear, work and eat as if in the 1400s. As we came in we say the big raven!! Rabenmutter!!! We also saw a market where you could buy all sorts. The kids found treasure chests to bring home!!! What a find. The beer was good, the buildings were amazing and all the details were incredible. Tante Doris even gave Ben a ride in the stroller!! Spoiled!! They brought us pretzels and juice and treats. Papa got some beer at the pub. Everyone had a great time. What an amazing place.
We then went to a local fair for some rides, some sausage and some fun. We then got to go to the playground though we did get rained out after a little while. The kids loved it!!
Oma Trusch invited us all for supper and just as papa took the young ones home (they were pretty tired after the fantastic day), Tante Doris took the older boys, Bonnie and I to the "Kappel" AMAZING. Thank you so much. The kids still talk about their treasure chest, the place where the knights were practicing with swords and the dragon carved out of wood!!! Thank you for such a wonderful day. The MacNeills.
